In 2020 the Edenville dam on Wixom lake failed, draining the lake & returning it to the river it was 95 years ago. This house now sits on hundreds of acres of ancient stumps & emerging forest on a dry lake bottom with a picturesque river running through it, ready for you to explore. You'll love your stay in this clean cottage with its covered patio, working fireplace & breathtaking sunset views.

Beautiful 2BR+Loft Cottage with amazing views!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The cottage sits at the highest point on the river, with a deck & fire pit overlooking the river providing a breath taking view from sunrise to sunset! Theres a cozy loft for sleeping, and a sun room where you can relax and read all day long. 1/2mile away you have access to 100s of miles of trails for hiking and ATVs. Within a 45 minute drive you have Houghton Lake, smaller lakes, splash pads and casinos, something for the whole family.

Waterfront 3 bedroom/1 bath Cottage on Secord Lake

Please note: Due to the dam failures on the Tittabawassee system of lakes, the water level of Secord lake is too low to enjoy boating and other water activities as they assess our dam for damage or needed repair. If this affects your vacation plans, we apologize. Please check prior to booking as to the water level if your plans include using the water. Home offers a relaxing, clean place to stay and enjoy all of the other activities that Northern Michigan has to offer. Thanks for understanding.

Quiet vacation home on Wixom Lake. While the lake is gone at the moment, it’s still a nice get away location. Large side yard for parking or tents. A fire pit in the yard for a relaxing evening. The house has three bedrooms, including a double bunk bed in one room and a master suite & central heat/ac A recent addition of a garage, entryway and loft have changed the look of the place. This is our little piece of paradise that we've been renovating (in the off season) into a fun costal cottage vibe. You'll enjoy an amazing waterfront view of Wiggins Lake and we can accommodate up to 4 guests at this property. The cottage is newly renovated, clean, and has the basic necessities to enjoy your stay on the lake. We purchased the cottage in Aug 2020 & bought new bedding, towels, pillows, glasses, silverware, etc. Renovated bathroom & more in May 2021 and 2022!
