A fantastic Grade II listed fisherman’s cottage situated close to the famous Magpie Cafe, Whitby harbour and Whitby’s bustling town centre with all its appeal. Dating back to the 18th century, this wonderful cottage offers a homely feel with exposed beams and quirky traditional features adding to its charming character. It has a cosy welcoming feel to it, positioned in a wonderful location in the North Yorkshire Moors in the peaceful, tranquil village of Grosmont. Outside the property is an ajoining decking area which has spectacular views over the moors and the local steam railway. A paradise for walkers and train lovers, perfect for relaxing and unwinding on a summers evening. There are ducks and chickens on the driveway.

The cottage, which was once the village police officer’s station and home, accommodates up to six people and offers beautiful views over the delightful Esk Valley. Rowan cottage sits within the beautiful village of Sleights, nestled between the seaside town of Whitby, and the ever changing North Yorkshire Moors. The cottage offers a perfect base for exploring the area, and is well connected by road, bus and rail.

Relax and unwind in the newly refurbished one bed Irishman's Cottage. The cottage retains many old features and is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. The living space is open plan with ample space for a couples retreat or family break away. In the summer months dine al fresco and enjoy a BBQ on the private patio besides the wood burning hot tub. A short walk away is our private lake, where you might catch site of a resting deer or hare!

This is the perfect spot for exploring the natural and stunning beauty of the North York Moors and the Yorkshire coastline, with the Cleveland Way coastal path and Whitby to Scarborough cycle path (Cinder Track) passing close by.
