Cozy Country Cottage

Come stay in our ​cozy cottage located down a country lane. Part of the Ponder farm dating back to 1906, we have a little house that offers a peaceful environment overlooking the family farm with a picturesque old barn, surrounded by tree lined fields. Enjoy the updated home with fully furnished kitchen, queen bed, and open front and back porches for relaxing in the quiet countryside. We are located just south of Sherman off Hwy 11, close to Austin College, with easy access to Highway 75.

Come and discover this magical escape tucked near the shores of Lake Texoma. Whether you're looking for a quick getaway from the city or want to book your next fishing trip, Cottage at the Cove offers something for everyone! Imagine waking up to a cup of coffee on the patio while the local wildlife pays a visit! A day on the lake with the family then coming back to enjoy the outdoor shower while the grill warms and serving the day’s catch with some local brew! Up to 2 dogs. ($60 pet fee)

Lil Camper at Lake Texoma

Enjoy a quiet stay while you play at Lake Texoma! This lil camper is situated in quiet area with a beach just a 1/2 mile away. It sleeps four people comfortably with an “rv queen” bed and two "rv twin" sized bunk beds. You’ll stay comfortable with air conditioning, an extendable awning for shade, and outdoor seating area with a table and fire pit. Fast WiFi! The neighborhood has a boat ramp and a beach with large grass covered play area. Dining and a marina as close as 1 mile.

The quiet and private guest house is tucked behind a large historic home south of downtown Sherman, TX. It is traditional in design and decor. The kitchen features metal cabinets with double drain board sink and decorative finish. The vintage Hotpoint stove with soup well adds charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The house is a mile south of downtown Sherman and within walking distance of 903 Brewers. The stately homes of Heritage Row are just a few blocks away.

Welcome to Pocketful of Dreams. My grandparents bought the house in 1941 and my mom grew up here. I spent two years renovating and loving the house so I hope you find as much joy here as I do. Whatever your purpose in visiting, enjoy the unique and locally owned restaurants and shops. Or just stay in and enjoy the back porch and open space. Only 5 minutes from downtown and 20 min from Lake Texoma.
