The Historic Garden Cottage

An historic free-standing building on our 12 acre property "Claremont" (c.1857), the Garden Cottage has been fully renovated to offer a unique place to stay in beautiful, peaceful and historic surroundings. The accommodation is totally private, with a queen bed, en suite bathroom and basic food preparation facilities (fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle). It has a split system for heating and cooling. The Garden Cottage is approx. 3.4 km to the heart of Castlemaine township, and is only a short walk to the lovely Botanical Gardens.

Built in 2024 as an extension to our sustainable house, there is a stylish full kitchen and bathroom. A couple of Golden Retrievers are love and affection on legs and walks in the granite country are special. Or you can head to Bendigo, Castlemaine or local wineries

This beautiful old cottage's original features and calming decor will make you feel relaxed as soon as you enter through the door. Set on 5 acres with beautiful gardens you can just relax or go for a quiet wander at your own leisure... Greens Lake is only a 5 minute drive away so bring your kayak, boat or fishing rod... 30 minute drive from Heathcote and 35 minutes away from beautiful historic Echuca.
