The cabin is tucked into a pocket of nature surrounded by 3 acres of oaks, elms, and junipers. The expansive front windows and raised deck provide and incredible sunset view across the hills and dark sky lighting sets the stage for breathtaking starry skies. Welcome to The Best Dam Cabin! We're located on the San Marcos River, just a short drive to Austin and San Antonio. This hand-built tiny cedar cabin is nestled inside an early 1900s cotton gin. Includes unlimited river access and the use of paddleboards with your stay. Whether you want to get away and read a good book near the river, go fishing or play games with the family, there's fun for everyone of all ages. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Glamping style!

Hilltop getaway near lake and tubing surrounded by nature and panoramic views in 3 directions. Peaceful & private, yet minutes from Guadalupe River, Canyon Lake, Gruene & Wimberley. The back deck overlooks miles of sunset views with a 6-foot heated cowboy pool. Picnic area has sunrise views with firepit, games, and picnic table. *As of March 2026 a house started construction up the hill from the cabin. There may be some noise between 8am-5pm.
