Alps Retreat Chalet

The Alps Retreat is a modern duplex comprising two three-bedroom units, each accommodating up to six guests. Each unit features underfloor heating and an open-plan living room and kitchen on the second floor, with a vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows set in a beautiful forest setting. This is one half of a duplex-style chalet. The two chalets share the same roof and a dividing wall, each chalet is completely independent, with its own private entrance and no shared indoor spaces.

At just under 100 square meters of functional space, the unit was designed by Hakuba Powder Lodge co-owner Hiroko Kowal. Larch Peak Chalet features a warm wood interior, custom wooden furniture, and fully upgraded modern facilities. It is beautifully situated in a forested neighbourhood close to the Hirakawa River. Restaurants, bars, and a convenience store are all within easy walking distance. During the green season( from May to October) guests can also enjoy BBQs in the garden.
