Volcano, Hawaii is unique to any spot on the Islands. When you crest the 4000’ summit of Kīlauea Volcano you enter my tropical neighborhood. Our piece of paradise is across the street from Volcanoes National Park with the park entrance less than a mile away. When Kīlauea volcano is erupting, (it is currently active as of January 2023) you can see the red glow of the plume from the b&b. Your private cottage is situated on my large property surrounded by lush tropical plants and my tea garden.

Tucked high in emerald treetops, on the forested slopes of Kīlauea Volcano, a cedar cabin outlooks the native rain forest 1.4 miles (2.2km) from Nāhuku (the lava tube) in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. This sojourn allows one a presence with the environment, to embark on adventures around the island, and be at ease afterward. Your occasional companions include moonlit mist-laden trades, the subtle glow of the Milky Way, and peaceful morning light as melodic birds dart about the lanai.

The great location of this property allows for easy access to many outstanding “once in a lifetime only on the big island adventures”. Minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The studio is equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, cooking stove (No oven) , a good size fridge, and all the utensils to cook your own meals. Large covered lanai creates additional outdoor living and eating space.

Enjoy the peaceful rainforest in the heart of Volcano Village and explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park just a few minutes away. This is a 1,000 sq/ft (94 sq/m) master bedroom with a private entrance. The room has large windows and double french doors that open to the lush green scenery outside. The property is secured by entry gate and there is dedicated guest parking. We are also within walking distance of several restaurants, general stores, and the Sunday farmers market.

'Hale Iki' is a hidden treasure located in Volcano, Hawai'i. It is hand crafted entirely of cedar. The cottage is only 5 minutes away from Volcanoes National Park. You’ll love the coziness, privacy, high ceilings, loft, full kitchen, wood burning stove, and two-person tub. This house was built by my grandfather 30 years ago, and has retained the charm and warmth that he crafted into this cozy cottage.
