Ferry services to Cape Lookout via Harkers Island (15 min. drive), Shackleford Banks via Beaufort (15 min. drive), and day trips to Ocracoke via Cedar Island (35 min. drive) nearby

The Yates Cottage is directly on the water and is designed for spectacular views of Core Sound and Cape Lookout Lighthouse with large windows on 3 sides. Other amenities are a large screen porch, fire pit, and a large yard for lawn games. The Yates cottage is great for couples, families, dogs, joggers, walkers, bikers, fishers and boaters. You will be welcomed with freshly-made beds, towels and a full kitchen with Keurig and Rachel Ray cookware.

Sleeping options: foldout couch downstairs and futon in loft. *Watch Bald Eagles, Geese, Heron and Osprey from 2 elevated decks a stone's throw from the water!

We have chickens pecking in the garden, sun shining through our stained glass, spiders spinning webs, paint drips, palmetto bugs, cats napping, Spanish moss in the trees with a swing beneath, and a screened-in porch to take in the beauty of a long day's sunset. Our island homestead is for those looking for a down-to-earth stay with nature & art close at hand. We live a slow handmade life ♥

This lovely apartment is located 3 miles from historic Beaufort. Established in 1713, Beaufort is the fourth oldest town in North Carolina. Stroll streets steeped in maritime history, quaint shops and great restaurants. Take a ferry ride to Carrot Island or Shackleford banks to view the wild horses or visit the beautiful beaches of the Crystal Coast. Beau Retreat is a new construction, 6oo sq ft with its own entrance, parking, ac/heating unit, TV, fridge, microwave and toaster oven.

Just a short walk to The Harkers Island Fishing Center and the local’s favorite restaurant, The Fish Hook Grill. Completely fenced in yard with plenty of room for kids to play and pups to roam. Rainy days are no problem, enjoy playing Ping Pong and Foos Ball, or just relaxing on the screened porch of the spacious garage/game room.

We are walking distance to Morehead City downtown waterfront with restaurants, bars, shopping, nightlife, dive shops, art galleries, charter boats, fishing and kayaking. You can walk to Shevans park or drive 5 minutes to downtown Beaufort, 5 minutes to Atlantic beach and 25 min to Cherry Point. Boat ramp access is 2 blocks away (1 min).
