10 minutes from Callaway gardens & Hog Mine! Our charming cabin is 1 block off of an exclusive/privately owned spring fed lake! Our lake access is close enough to bike/walk, but we prefer to drive into the access w/all of our gear! @ the gated access you will find a swimming area, boat launch, grills, screened in & open pavilion, and a playground. The Roosevelt

I built this cabin in 1989, this property has a lot of history, it was part of the land that my father in law acquired from the Roosevelt program, I believe that was in 1932, he was one of the few original settlers. we have 25 acres we are in process of making walking trail that will wind back and forth through the entire property. will be a good chance of seeing all kind of wildlife including deer turkey, squirrels and all kind of birds. This charming retreat features: Sleeps 4-5: Perfect for couples or small families with a fully stocked kitchen and a modern bathroom. Just outside you can spot deer, hawks, birds, squirrels, and even salamanders! A small creek runs just behind the cabin, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. Located just minutes from FDR State Park, Callaway Gardens, the Man-O-War Trail and Pine Mountain.

Lake Therapy

This is a place to relax and enjoy the surrounding activities. This is not a place to party. If you are looking to have a party this is not the place. There are full time residents living nearby and do not wish to be disturbed. This is a place to linger as you sip wine or coffee on the deck and watch the sunrise or set over the water; relax around the fireplace indoors or the firepit outside. Recommendations for activities and food are in the Welcome Book on the coffee table.

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. This beautifully remodeled cabin offers two bedrooms and a loft that can sleep up to 6 comfortably. New appliances in the kitchen will allow you to cook meals for the family, just like at home. Relax in the hot tub over looking the woods and perhaps you'll get a glimpse of a deer or two. The cabin is close to Pine Mountain and Warm Springs. Come hide and enjoy life for a while at Happy's Hideaway!

Comfortable, clean, cozy cabin nestled in the woods of FDR state park. Backyard with enclosed doggy area slopes down directly to Pine Mountain hiking trail. Roomy master bedroom downstairs, upstairs queen bedroom with spacious bathroom and small outdoor balcony. Large front porch with swing; quaint back porch for viewing the beautiful sunsets. Electric fireplace, park grill, pullout sofa, Keurig with K-cup pods provided as well as welcome drinks and basic spices.

Mystical Hidden Cabin near Callaway & State Park

A short drive to Callaway Gardens! Few people even know it exists except the owners whose family has occupied this land since 1835 . We are an hour South of Atlanta. The cabin is not primitive. It has all the modern convenience sitting on a 20 ac tract with bigger tracts of land adjoining. I have a five person sleep accommodation but if you are a larger family I can make an allowance. It is a very safe area and we are available if you need us.
