Easy for low-tide hot pools. Bliss! Don't feel like cooking? Then walk meters to Hotties Eatery/Bar or Hot Waves Cafe Linen/towels provided. Sorry, no animals/smoking or camping allowed. The Pearl of Whakatiwai

The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A completely restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed and see the views that go on forever. A great little kitchen with new oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need if you want a "foodie" get away. We do not have a TV, but great WiFi. Great fishing right on your doorstep.

Upstairs apartment is a large, 2-bedroom house, with spacious living room, tv room, private bathroom and full kitchen. The apartment has its own entrance and private back deck. Right on the beach, a large, light and airy living space (160sqm upstairs house). Backed by native bush with expansive views of the beach and sea/sunrises to the front. Matakatia is a tidal inner harbour beach with safe swimming in summer, and for the brave in winter.

Enjoy the early mornings as you open the curtains in the master bedroom and decide whether it is a day for fishing, swimming or simply relaxing.

Relax on the Kaipara Harbour

A lovely fully equipped modern cottage in a rural setting on the beautiful Kaipara Harbour (only 90 mins north of Auckland). Peaceful and private, you can lounge on the bean bags on the deck, or watch the tui as you soak in the bath. Native bush runs down to an estuary outside your floor to ceiling windows. Sheep, dogs, ducks and birdlife share the property with you as well as the occassional peacock harem.
