One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

Enjoy the setting of this romantic spot on a working sheep and cattle farm in the Dromara Hills, nestled in nature. Between Castlewellan and Dromara, 15min drive to Newcastle, 25min from Belfast. A couples retreat with a new electric hot tub in the middle of a mountain, sheep as the only possible disturbance. Guests are welcome to meet and greet our animals at the gate up to the hut. Honey the Falabella horse, 5 pygmy goat and our Free range hens, who give our guests eggs in our welcome pack.

Muin Shepherd Hut currently has building works being carried out some 25m to the rear for the new Kilchoan Community Shop (please see exterior pics for proximity). Muin comes complete with: a 2kw Shower (2 minutes of hot water/5 minutes to re-heat) toilet, sink, Belfast sink, fridge, ceramic hob, Air Fryer, underfloor heating, wood burning stove, TV, Double bed with King size duvet, decked area, enclosed private garden (dog friendly) and views over to the Isles of Mull and Atlantic Ocean.

'Muggans' (named after the Mugwort that grows by the steps) is entirely off-grid and has everything you'll need for a comfortable and memorable getaway, including a wood burning stove to keep you cozy, a wood fired hot tub to soak in under the stars and pizza oven for luxury campfire cooking.

The hut has no electricity but has solar lights, and a separate composting toilet, all bed linen is provide along with wood for the stove. A unique and beautiful Shepherd's Hut on the Black Isle. Specifically commissioned by Black Isle Brewery, the hut is in the middle of our organic brewery farm. The brewery sits on one side with organic farmland, farmhouse and vegetable patch on the other. You are 10 minutes from Inverness by car and 20 minutes from Inverness airport. Please note that the hut doesn't have wifi but we have books and games to keep you
