The Anchorage, Arrochar, was built circa 1913 and has been newly upgraded in December 2019 giving the cottage a luxurious interior with gas central heating and beautiful wood burning stove. Two ensuites and a beautiful bathroom provides guests with plenty of room whilst the large garden with pizza oven and BBQ has amazing views where guests can relax on the decking or seek shade in the lean to. Everyone can use the fire pit, games room or play area to keep occupied or use the Kayaks provided.

The property is located in the village of Rhu, near Helensburgh which is ideally placed for exploring Loch Lomond and the West coast of Scotland while close enough to Glasgow to allow easy access to the city by road or rail Loch Lomond is also only twelve miles away, and Stirling only an hour away. Rhu itself has a large marina, a welcoming wee pub and local shop. All in all a peaceful property, in a beautiful location.

The castle comprises three reception rooms, all with working fireplaces, a family kitchen, pantry, and five bedrooms, including the turret bedroom on the top floor. The bright, modern and warm 2 bedroom apartment is in a smart new building, built by the owners. It is a short walk from the restaurants, pubs and wine bars of the town. The building is on a quiet street and the apartment has off street parking. The apartment is on the first floor, a private entrance leads up a wide staircase to a south-facing living space containing a fully equipped kitchen. The second bedroom can be set up with a separate single bed.

Please bear in mind that there are steps up to up access the cottage from either door: thus, if you have reduced mobility, sadly, Oakdene may not be for you.
