Cozy Cottage with Lake Views

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Our place is close to boat ramps, short drive to Canton, First Monday. You’ll love our place because of the coziness, the peaceful quiet atmosphere. Kitchen appliances small and large, complete general kitchen ready , new propane gas grill (2024) for outdoor cooking , complimentary Keurig coffee, and Keurig coffee maker, for those morning sunrises, new bed (2024), hair dryer, soap, shampoo, stackable washer and dryer. This little cabin is surprisingly roomy inside and has a kitchenette equipped with dishes, a toaster oven, a microwave, and a fridge/freezer. There is a comfy, XL twin bed with/ clean, sheets & blankets. There is a shower, toiletries & large towels. A perfect spot to stay when visiting the Cedar Creek, Canton & Athens areas & are looking for a quiet place to lay your head. We have wifi & local channels on the TV. We have clean, fresh water, from a deep aquifer, straight from the tap!

Lake Retreat, Private Boat Ramp, game room

Located near Deer Island, this upstairs "guest house" is situated behind the main house and has a boat ramp and boat dock for fishing or sunning on the upper deck. The home has a private deck with a gas grill and outdoor balcony to enjoy the sunrise or a relaxing evening. There is WIFI and a smart TV/Direct TV. The home features a full kitchen. You will be close to Canton (First Monday) 25 miles, Tyler-45 miles, Cedar Creek Lake -10 miles, or Dallas -60 miles. We are located in a quiet rural area with cows, horses, and birds for neighbors. Gwes ty Bach is Welsh for little guest house, and that is what you get at Moonshine Hideaway. our little guest house is completely self sufficient with 2 bedrooms one full bath, a "mini great room" and a kitchenette. Our kitchenette has a little refrigerator, a microwave, and a 2 burner hot plate. Feel free to pop some corn while you watch movies on the Smart TV. In the morning, enjoy a cup of coffee by the lake and listen to the world waking up.

The ceiling fans keep you cool as you enjoy the view of the woods. Inside this bedroom is a queen sized bed and large bathroom with an extra large shower. We have two other cabins, Dogwood and Holly, a beautiful pond with three waterfalls, a trail and flower garden.
