Welcome to The Stable - a serene solo respite, artist’s retreat or unique getaway for 1 to 6 registered guests. Close to I-85 & I-40, Duke, NCCU and the downtown Durham scene. Quaint & artsy Hillsborough, funky & fun Chapel Hill/UNC and Carrboro are a short drive. Eno River State Park, hiking & biking trails, and the Mountains to Sea Trail are 2.5 miles away. Full of unexpected details, including an outside labyrinth, The Stable is a comfortable sanctuary for all who want to settle in and smile.

Enjoy a beautiful cabin w/ modern amenities such as Starlink Internet & smart TVs throughout. Best Wi-Fi you can get -2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, rec room & loft w/4 beds. The perfect place to disconnect.

Historic Warrenton Small Cabin

Beautiful guest house, located steps from the main house, hidden from public. The cabin is tucked away in our manicure backyard. Spacious fenced in yard where your fur babies can run free. Enjoy the large pergola with comfy seating for nighttime relaxation or dining. The house offers a living room, kitchenette (NO STOVE) and spacious bathroom. The second floor is a large LOFT with a dividing wall separating the two sleeping areas. There are 13 steps to the second floor. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTY!

Artist's Studio

Originally the studio of a visual artist (long ago garden illustrator for The New York Times), this petite building is completely private. Firm queen bed. Mix of antiques and artisanal built-ins. Radiant heat. AC. Mini fridge and microwave, electric kettle, Chemex coffee maker and French Press, excellent wifi. Unique space in one of the best country neighborhoods around. 6.5 miles to Hillsborough healthy grocery store, 8 to Carrboro/Chapel Hill, 18 to Durham. Serene pond and grounds.

Waterfront home on MAYO LAKE. 2 Bd, 1.5 bath fully furnished . Wi-fi, Smart TVs, Alexa, frig, stove washer/dryer, microwave. Queen-size bed, sleeper sofa and bunk bed. Wrap around porch w/ rocking chairs, swing and 2 picnic tables. Large yard for playing, just feet away from the water, and fire pit. Firewood not provided. Lots of fishing, single kayak, 2 person kayak, canoe and 2 paddle boats available. PERFECT FOR ANY SEASON LONG OR SHORT STAY. Located on Mayo Lake in Roxboro, NC

You are welcome to canoe, fish, walk our trails, play disc golf, or just enjoy the peaceful view. Split Rock is ideal for couples and solo travelers.
