Zeekoegat Historical Homestead

Take a step back in time and sleep in a historical monument built in 1795 on this exquisite piece of farm property that has been lovingly restored. We practice regenerative farming and encourage biodiversity. This is a place to relax, reconnect and recharge. It is our happy place where we embrace all forms of wildlife and love our menagerie of domestic pets from pigs to turkeys to horses and lots of dogs. Not for you if you don’t like animals, if you do it’s paradise . WiFi in the garden only.

From the balcony you may have some early morning sightings of small antelope and other animals as well as an abundance of bird life.

Features include 3 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and electric stove/ oven. DSTV is available on demand The house is equipped with loadshedding bulbs. The inside fireplaces doubles as a braai. The house is 12km from Stilbaai and within walking distance of the beach.

When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. With plenty of comforts this spot is paradise for children, dogs and a retreat for adults.
