The Convent, Murrumburrah

Built in 1892, The Convent Murrumburrah was described upon its opening as “the most handsomest, most substantial, convenient and commodious building”. Today, it is one of the best preserved, heritage-listed Victorian masterpieces in the region. It is the perfect place for a unique and unforgettable getaway exploring the Hilltops' exquisite wineries, orchards and eateries. Sleeping up to 20, amongst the luxury of grand yet modernised interiors, it is ideal for larger groups of family and friends.

Nestled amongst the bluestone buildings of the original 1880’s Police Barracks, the guest house has been recently renovated to a country-style getaway with modern amenities. It is fully self-contained and air-conditioned for your year-round comfort. Murringo Barracks is situated on 20 acres at the edge of Murringo Village. It is part of our 300 acre working farm where we raise fat lambs and merino sheep for fine wool.
