Kyōtanba-chō, Traditional Japanese Thatched House

【Due to the pandemic, we've had to ask a handful of guests to come back in the later time, however we now are happily welcoming the guests】 We are newly listed accommodation in the country side of Kyoto - Kyotamba town, Funai District. This traditional Thatched House was newly renovated 2 years ago in to a modern Japanese house. Being here is like being in your country house that you can use almost all to yourself (house owners, a family with kids are living on site).

Surrounded by beautiful woods, it is a place to find peace within and reconnect with yourself. We have an in-house library, gallery, cafe, and prayer room/yoga space. You are also invited to live as part of our family and meet locals, including some great craftspeople, as we go about our daily lives. We are fully dedicated to the comfort of sensitive and nature-loving travellers like yourselves. Our B&B received the Okayama Award (Best Accommodation) in 2014.
