Oakbrook Akers Lakeside Cabin Retreat

Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the pond, take time to meander to the docks to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. In the winter, tuck yourself away in the cozy cabin complete with a wood burner, having a movie or game night (with popcorn of course)! Built by my father, we hope you cherish your time spent here just as our family has.

Located just a half mile from town, but secluded enough to be a private hilltop house retreat. The deck overlooks downtown with a backdrop of the Mississippi River! Enjoy the outdoors hiking at the Palisades State Park with miles of trails just a short drive away, kayak or fish one of the many rivers or lakes, stroll through downtown for antique and gift shopping, or visit a nearby winery. After a day of adventures, relax in the spa tub or enjoy a glass of wine on the private deck.

Modern Cabin at Trillium Ridge

Tucked into the rolling hills of the Shawnee National Forest, our modern cabin offers a welcoming retreat where comfort and nature meet. Wander down a private trail to explore or climb at the Holy Boulders, or take an easy drive to local wineries and see the iconic sights of Little Grand Canyon, Inspiration Point, and Pomona Natural Bridge. When you’re ready to slow down, return to soak in the hot tub, unwind in the sauna, and settle into our cabin made for rest and connection.

Beck's Hideaway at Dixon Springs

We might call this place a hideaway but the nearby activities and amenities are too numerous to list! Enjoy the secluded forest location surrounded by towering trees, abundant wildlife, and plenty of outdoor activities. Our cabin is just minutes away from the Trail of Tears, Dixon Springs State Park, the delicious Chocolate Factory, the towns of Golconda, Metropolis, and the bigger city of Paducah. NEW IN OCTOBER 2021: We have installed high-speed fiber optic WiFi to the cabin.

Bunkhouse Seventy-Four

Once used by seasonal farm labor in the 1930s, Bunkhouse Seventy-Four is a fully restored historic bunkhouse with all the modern amenities for a comfortable getaway. Perfect for couples, it features a full kitchen, bath, queen bed, a spacious porch, beautiful antique stained glass windows, a private outdoor soaking tub (Apr-Nov) on a 7 acre hobby farm. Blue Heron Cabin is one of three A-frame cabins located on a scenic property featuring a 6-acre lake and a smaller pond. Each cabin is comfortably spaced from the others, and guests enjoy their own dedicated outdoor area with a hot tub, firepit, and Adirondack chairs. Inside, you’ll find a queen bedroom, loft queen bed, furnished kitchen, Smart TV, workspace, and peaceful nature views. Pet friendly and close to hiking, wineries, and Southern Illinois attractions.

The rustic lakeside cabin has two loft bedrooms upstairs, one lower bedroom, amazing views of our private lake and an assortment of animals (deer, axis, fallow, elk) that roam freely on the gated property. Enjoy fishing or lounging around the lake. Plan a trip to Garden of the Gods, Jackson Falls, Tunnel Hill Trail or Shawnee National Forest finishing the evening roasting hotdogs around the fire. *No parties or events allowed during your stay.
