The cottage looks out on beautiful Portacloy beach which boasts a Green Coast Award with spectacular local scenery, unspoilt beaches and walking trails nearby. Our cosy hut consists of a comfortable bedroom with an enchanted view of Assaroe Lake: enjoy it on our 3 deckings! The cabin is very close to our house but secluded from it, buried in the woods. The room provides a tranquill escape from frantic life:- there’s Wi-Fi but no television , just a radio. Kitchen facilities are basic but functional. We provide the basis for a continent breakfast. Beaches and hiking trails are very close by. WE ACCEPT PETS ONLY AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THEIR OWNER

The cottage is set in an idyllic location on the Ring of Kerry, close to Beaufort village (pubs, restaurants and shops). Killarney is less than 15 mins away. A scenic area at the foothills of the mountains, close to all major attractions; Irelands highest mountain Carrauntoohill, the Gap of Dunloe and the Black Valley. It is located next to Beaufort Church and close to the Dunloe hotel

The cottage maintains many original features including the original stone floor and hearth. It’s set on its own private garden where you can truly enjoy the peace and quiet of this amazing place and is also an ideal base for discovering so much including the Ring of Kerry and the Beara Penninsula.

Glengarriff Lodge, or what used to be Lord Bantry's Cottage, is a luxury self-catering space hidden away on a secluded, leafy island surrounded by 50-acres of ancient oak woodlands in Glengarriff, West Cork.
