Sæból is a historic farm in one of the most remote parts of Iceland. Visitors will find a truly authentic experience of life in the Westfjords, past and present. It provides amazing access to the mountains and the sea, and the opportunity to enjoy the remoteness and quiet that make the Westfjords so special. In Sæból lives a friendly sheep farmer known as Bettý (my mother) and she is the last remaining resident of Ingjaldssandur. She also makes beautiful handcrafts that she sells at her house.

Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Ólafsvík - one bedroom apartment # 3

This one bedroom apartment is in a rebuilt house in Ólafsvík,on Snæfellsnes peninsula with it´s magnificent nature. The apartment is on the ground floor with a private entrance and a veranda. A key box by the door for check in. The apartment is 45 sq.m. and has light decor with a living room and open kitchen. Bedroom with a double bed (180 cm x 200 cm) and a bunk bed. The bathroom has a walk in shower, a washer and dryer. Short walk to the harbour, swimmingpool, supermarket and restaurant.

Heima hjá mömmu

Heima is a very peaceful apartment located in Ísafjörður. It is located on a quiet street near the mountain. The house is located about 1 km from the main square. Heima is a house owned by a family that built it in 1962. Johann Kroknes, a carpenter from Norway came to Ísafjörður to build this house for his daughter Sigríður that was moving to Ísafjörður after marrying a local shrimp captain, Torfi. We are restoring it to the style that was in the sixties and welcome you to enjoy it with us!

Korpudalur HI Hostel - Summerhouse

A private summer house surrounded by amazing mountain view. Located at the innermost place of Onundarfjordur. The the area is perfect for outdoor hiking or other activities with a Recreational Map available of the area. The summer house is part of Korpudalur HI Hostel located ~30m from the house. The house has two private twin rooms, and a four beds on the upper floor. One bathroom with a shower and kitchen facilities. Perfect for 1-2 families or a small group of friends.

Stóra-Vatnshorn is a family owned working farm with sheep, horses, dog and a cat and rental of cottages and our "Old farmhouse". Rural, quiet and beautiful surroundings. The Old farmhouse, built in 1936 is 150m2 with5 bedrooms (all different in size an shape) and sleeps easily 6 people. Fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining area. WC, shower and heating.
