Riverside Mountain Retreat on the New River

Unique octagon home set over the South Fork of the New River. Large deck overlooks scenic river view. Open the windows and feel the fresh air and hear the river below. Steps to the river enable fishing, kayaking, swimming, river walking or a great place to watch the sun set. Inside, the all wood 1,600 square feet is centered by a huge stone fireplace in a sunken living room open to the dinning room and kitchen creating a wonderful 'heart' for visiting and sharing a meal. With 2,500 sq ft of decking you can enjoy the beautiful mountain views with picnic table, rockers, swings, & fireplace. 8 person hot tub and firepit add to your enjoyment outside. "Hidden Gem" is a cedar tiny home with "Amazing " Mountain views. The views are mesmerizing! The cabin is well appointed to make your stay comfortable & memorable. The Cabin consists of a lounge area, kitchen, bathroom, queen bedroom, loft (bed), screened porch, & deck- 12 x 32; both of which the perfect place to watch a sunrise or sunset while sipping coffee or a glass of wine. The cabin is best suited for a couple- 1 dog allowed with a $75 fee added. All new kitchen appliances! 8/2025

A Dream by the Stream is a very private and rustic 2 Br/2Ba log cabin overlooking a bold stream on 10 beautiful and remote acres with walking trails, a pond with dock, campfire pit, and amazing garden stonescape. Our 750 sq ft. Cabin offers WiFi, streaming TV, central AC and heat, fully stocked kitchen, coffee provided, towels, comfortable bed and quality linens. We are 1/2 mile from the North Fork of New River. It's a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy the mountains. Dogs welcome!

Hurricane Helene Update: We are incredibly fortunate that our property did not suffer damage from the storm and the main roads to and from our home are accessible. Internet and power have been restored, and our property is ready to offer a lovely refuge for anyone needing a temporary place to stay. We are devastated by the losses experienced in Western NC and encourage any locals to reach out with a message prior to booking if you want to spend a few days at the Hemlock. We want to help.

Sleeping Bear Cabin - Blue Ridge Mountains

Sleeping Bear Cabin is nestled away in a private mountain community that has it's own lake and just a two minute drive to the New River at the entrance of the community. The cabin is surrounded by forest with a main deck and an upper deck. Just recently remodeled and redecorated, we designed Sleeping Bear to be the perfect place for anyone to enjoy the mountain life. Fishing, walking, biking, hiking, tubing, kayaking, bird, butterfly, wildlife watchers and 35 -45 minutes to skiing.

Evergreen Retreat

This is a peaceful cabin located just minutes to Boone, Blowing Rock and West Jefferson. Relax and enjoy the scenic views, tall trees and sounds of the nearby creek! There are numerous hikes in the area and other outdoor activities such as kayaking, skiing, apple-picking and Christmas Tree cutting. Out of the Blue Cabin cabin is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath cabin located in quaint West Jefferson, NC. With stunning views, Out of the Blue Cabin is the perfect little getaway spot to relax and unwind from life's demands. It comfortably sleeps 5-6 (5 in beds and can accomodate an additional sleeper on the couch in the living room), has a fully functioning kitchen, gas grill, WiFi, TV, all with a rustic mountain feel. Bed linens, towels, washer and dryer are included in your stay.

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains look no further. There is a seasonal water view. We are 10 minutes to downtown West Jefferson or Blue Ridge Parkway entrance, 1/4 mile to New River State Park Elk Shoals river beach and 30 minutes to Boone NC. Local attractions like canoeing, kayaking and hiking all within 10 minutes or less. Onsite Yoga is available. TV is for streaming only.
