Obeah Guesthouse is an old-school bed & breakfast catering to the epicurean traveller looking for a rich and intimate engagement with the music, food and drink of New Orleans. Our guests can spend the morning in a luxurious bathrobe, eating one of the best breakfasts in the city, and then take a quick walk to the French Quarter, the jazz clubs of Frenchmen street, or stay with us for a chef's table hosted by a variety of New Orleans' best chefs, live music, or one of our other in-house events.

Balcony Suite where French Quarter meets Frenchmen

Ruthie’s Balcony Suite bears the name of our beloved family matriarch. And for good reason. It’s the best room in the house. Vaulted ceilings soar above a huge bedroom/living area, including a spacious kitchenette and full-sized bathroom. But it’s the balcony you’ll love most. Overlooking the corner of Esplanade and Chartres, it’s the perfect place to people-watch while enjoying the pot pourri of sounds that drift over from the nearby markets, jazz clubs, and bustling Mississippi waterfront.

Barbara Suite: 1 Br 1 Ba, work space + ferry to FQ

Our Barbara Suite has 1 bedroom with attached Bath and features a work space and two TVs, one Firestick enabled. I block away from the Mississippi River Levee bike and walking pathway to the Algiers Ferry, which connects you across the river to the French Quarter, Riverview Outlet Mall and Harrah's Casino. It features Individual climate control, a Keurig coffee maker, minifridge and microwave. It is 1 of 2 guest suites upstairs with an 8 ft wide hallway between them for quiet and privacy.

Circa 1840 brick building, The Balcony Suite with private bathroom was recently Restored/Renovated with new furnishings and fixtures.. Monday-Friday 8-5 we're not a quiet corner but on any night it’s relaxing, providing a restful night. Our neighbor, Race & Religious, hosts weddings with live music but never past 11PM. If you need to go to bed early, we might not be a good fit. Uniquely located, close to the Garden District, Arts/Museum District, French 1/4 and the Conventional Center
