Historic Discovery Bay Beach Cabin Stunning Views

Experience healing and peace with the sound of gentle waves on Discovery Bay. Our cabin was built in 1939 by our grandfather who was an early businessman in Port Townsend. He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

You have found our very special place!!! This is a little slice of Heaven… Your cabin has high bluff waterfront amazing views, overlooking the Salish Sea… It literally overlooks Freshwater Bay, Vancouver Island, & San Juan Islands, & Victoria BC. (Beach access is only 2 mi away). We are nestled in the middle of the gateway to Olympic National Park, and everything this area has to offer. We are only 10 miles from Port Angeles. And, we know you will enjoy and love your stay, "By the Sea".

Indulge in tranquility at this riverside cabin. Relax by the gas fireplace or cook in the elegant kitchen with a view of the river and mossy trees from the deck. Explore the outdoors on the nearby Discovery Trail (0.08 miles). Visit Sol Duc Hot Springs, Olympic National Park, Lake Crescent, and La Push. Forks and Kalaloch are nearby. Enjoy entertainment on two TVs (1 Blu-ray, 1 Wi-Fi), 50 dvds available, but note there's no dishwasher, and Wi-Fi and cell service may be INTERMITTENT.

Mallard Cove is the best place on Lake Sutherland! Our lake-front and massive deck literally get the very last bit of sun all summer long! Our neighborhood is also full of friendly, easy going people. You should have an amazing time! Mountain View Shire Getaway

Relax and enjoy the amazing view from the deck of this unique glamping site. This hillside getaway was created from a culvert and planted into the side of a hill, nestled among trees and forest flora. Low voltage lighting, propane on demand hot water, cook top and heater. The view overlooks a pond, the valley below with Mt. Baldy in the background. An outdoor shower also has an awesome view! This countryside glamping site is near the ONP, Discovery trail, and Port Angeles.

The Hiker's Cabin serves as an ideal base for daily excursions to explore Olympic National Park and local beaches. Walk directly from the Hiker’s Cabin onto trails leading into the park!
