Houseboat Myrtle is a totally self-contained wooden cottage on the water. Permanently Anchored in the Knysna Lagoon, it’s a two minute dinghy ride from the Knysna Waterfront and we’ll give you lessons to get you going on the water. Myrtle is one of the original Knysna houseboats and has a lovely wood finish inside. With its two decks, it’s perfect for lazy days floating on the lagoon. Tree View is near a forest, so it is often visited by birds. Sleeps 2 people and can sleep 2 more people on slide-out single beds (Total 4) plus a baby cot. (Shared en-suite open-plan bathroom) There are 6 stairs up from the ground floor. Pet-friendly. In addition, there is an upstairs TV lounge. Guests love the indoor braai (barbecue) and pizza oven. There are fireplaces to keep you warm; fire wood provided. Exclusive-use pool overlooking the vlei with deck area for sunbathing and stunning views, plus outdoor showers. Comes with secure parking and free WiFi.

It is also walking distance to a complex with a supermarket, restaurants ect. It is a quite neighborhood away from the busy streets. The house sits on a large enclosed stand and is strategically lit at night to offer you easy access and movement around the property.

Situated on the Bitou River just 6klm’s from Plettenberg Bay. Known for its bird life, cycling & running trails & just far enough out of town to experience a slower pace of living. A 5 or 10 minute drive to our nearest world renowned wine estates & multiple blue flag beaches to choose from.

Camp cot available. Goose cottage is off the grid, so during loadshedding we are fully functional.

This means exquisite views, waterfalls and walks.  The cottage is nestled into the hillside, amidst rockery and fynbos. With no neighbouring farms, cell reception, nor electricity, one is able to experience a true getaway.
