The Cozy Cottage by the Lake

This sweet, unique, tiny house is located on Pigeon Lake, just 15 minutes from Shipshewana and the heart of Amish country, and 55 minutes from Notre Dame! It is beautiful in any season, and offers a quiet retreat for families or friends. Guests have lake access, and the public boat launch nearby. Paddle boat, kayaking, and fishing from the pier at the house are all available from this property. (Fishing gear not provided) After a day in Shipshewana, relax in the outdoor porch and fire pit area!

Welcome to our cozy lakefront cottage on Atwood Lake. This is a quiet & fun fishing and swimming lake w/ access to the Indian Chain of Lakes (2 of which are ski lakes) just a 3 min drive away. Includes the use of 3 kayaks & paddle boat. There is a dock if you want to bring your own boat and room for your boat trailer. Has a walk in beachy area w/ sand for the kids to play. Enjoy the firepit to end the evening. Lots to do for year round fun. NO PETS, NO PARTIES AND NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND!!

Bring your own boat and put it in at the free, public access and then tie up at our own personal dock mere steps away from the house. A quiet, neighborhood street circles the lake and is perfect for strolls, including to the public beach or yummy Wall Lake Tavern.

Kayak around the lakes (2 kayaks provided for use during your stay), grill on the patio, or cozy up inside with some board games! You will be staying in the middle of Amish country and love the easy access to all the shops, food, tourism, and all that Shipshewana has to offer. You will be within walking distance to the Pumpkin Vine Nature Trail with miles of trails for biking or walking. This cozy cottage has access to Ship Lake which is great for fishing. The living room and dining room are very spacious, open concept and an awesome place to hang out with family and friends.
