Set in their own small secluded glade, our Safari Tents have one double bedroom and a second bedroom with four single bunks, as well as a bathroom, kitchen and dining area. Locally sourced produce and essentials are available for purchase in the on site shop, so you can bring as much or as little as you wish. On-site parking is available. We are able to accommodate stays of the following lengths: 7 night stays commencing on a Monday or Friday, Monday-Friday (4 nights), Friday-Monday (3 nights).

We are an ideal base for a couple looking for a romantic retreat, or friends looking to explore this beautiful historic area. The interior consists of a triple bunkbed, fully equipped kitchenette, TV, comfy seating and a woodburner. Another room in the hut has a toilet and shower. Dine alfresco on decking outside, or cosy up to the stove after a day of exploring. Joy!

Please note we have no Elsan waste disposal but you are welcome to use the compost toilet in the facilities block. This is a beautiful parking space in the wood near the facilities block where you will have joint use of the Kitchen, outside sink and use a shower. PLEASE NOTE THIS SPACE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR TENTS.

Positioned 1 mile from Patterdale village, you’ll have country pubs and local charm close at hand, as well as direct access to scenic walks and cycle trails across the Northern Lakes and Fells. Explore footpaths leading from your door to Ullswater or set out to discover Aira Force waterfalls.

Camping Barn, Abbot Park Farm

Built in 2012, our slate and stone camping barns boast 6 single beds on the first floor. The ground floor space includes a dining area, kitchen area which includes a microwave, kettle, toaster, small fridge and a single electric hot plate. and a ground floor wet room. Bedding, towels, cutlery, crockery are all provided. Outside are stunning views, a picnic area and public footpaths through the farm. Breakfast is not provided can be requested at an additional cost.
