Nestled in a cove on Lookout Shoals Lake, Mallard Cottage is a small bungalow raised on piers to elevate it above ground level. This provides a special view of the lake that is as beautiful in the morning as the evening. Our yard is fenced with gates as we are pet and kid friendly. The exterior was updated in the past two years and the interior has just completed a full remodel....it is very fresh, open, and welcoming. This comfy, cute, and stylish family home is located near Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. Under a 10 minute drive to quaint downtown Hickory with plenty of shopping and historical districts nearby. Stay in and cook a warm meal while relaxing indoors or step out outside and have a seat on the bench under the covered front porch. Listen to the birds singing while flying about in the nearby tree.
