This retreat is an easy 3 hour drive from the Twin Cities, making it far enough to disconnect yet close enough not to spend all your time traveling. On your drive up, feel your daily life stresses melt away as the beauty of lake country recharges you.

"Nordico Point" - Cozy Cabin on Mitchell Lake

Welcome to Nordico Point. Since 1984 our family has enjoyed the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Our private 4.5 acres w/1200' of lakeshore reminds us of some of the most beautiful BWCA campsites that we have stayed at. Nordico Point aims to provide a similar experience for those who still desire a wilderness experience but no longer want to portage or sleep on the ground. And paddling is 100% voluntary. PS - you can launch a boat, too - small boat(16ft max - just no wake board boats allowed;)

Sunset Cove Retreat - Luxury Home w/ Private Beach

Sunset Cove Retreat truly combines privacy, adventure, comfort, and an unbeatable location. You won't run out of thing's to do without even leaving the cabin. Swim off of the private beach, make s'more's over the outdoor fire pit, paddle on complimentary kayaks & canoe, or enjoy a game of pool! Additional sleeping space for up to 6 more people is available if you add the bunkhouse on to your rental for an extra fee. This cabin is boat access only, please inquire for boat rental availability!

Grandpa’s Cabin! 3 bed/2 bath on Lake Vermilion

Grandpa's Cabin is the perfect lakeside retreat, offering ample space for trailers and trucks. A public boat launch literally right next to the driveway, you can launch your boat for a week of fishing, cruising or tubing any day of the summer. In the winter use the ice road to take your snowmobile right onto the lake trails or drive down the plowed ice road to one of Vermilions best ice fishing spots. With many other trails and golf courses near by this is a year round outdoor paradise.

Cozy Lake Vermilion retreat with 1BR main cabin (queen bed, futon), 1/2 bath, full kitchen, A/C, Wi-Fi, and deck with lake views. Lakeside bunkhouse has bunk bed and couch. Early Frost Farms is a hobby farm specializing in vegetable growing. Our general store sells canned goods and ice cream treats. We are located right on Mesabi Bike Trail, 17 minutes from Giant's Ridge; 35 min. from Ely and the north shore.
