Footbridge Farm Cabin

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Unwind at the Stone

Our upper level has an open loft space with 4 king beds. Full bathroom with urinal and 2 vanities located outside the bathroom. One bed can be private with sliding doors. Our lower level has a partial partition between 2 king beds, full bathroom. Main level, single bedroom, queen Murphy bed and queen sofa, half bath. There is a deck off the upper level with Mississippi River views connecting to a main level deck off our kitchen. Under the deck on the ground level is outdoor shower and BBQ area.

Tin Terra Cabin in Amish Paradise with Steam Sauna

Tin Terra Cabin (TTC) is part of Sittin Pretty Farm. TTC is an artful rendering of home using the character and patina of old barn tin and boards accented with the elegance of finely crafted local woods including cherry, red oak, hickory and black walnut. Once inside a feeling of marvel and serenity are sure to help in making heartfelt memories. We are six miles from the attractions of "Viroqua hip" yet nestled in the plain and slow of the Amish with roadside stands cascading produce and pie!

Riverfront Porch & Boat Slip

Wake up to the morning sun shining over the great Mississippi River. Relax and grill with the whole family on the spacious covered front porch. Walk to the dock to fish or jump on your boat for some fun in the sun - boat slip included! (~9+ ft wide) Spend the evening hours laughing next to a crackling campfire. After a fun day in The Driftless Area, come relax and unwind in Prairie du Chien. Beautifully decorated 2 bedroom home with a spacious kitchen, large island, dishwasher, washer/dryer & 5' walk in shower. We supply all cooking/baking items/utensils. High-speed internet with smart TVs in both bedrooms and living room. Outdoor pool (seasonal), hot tub and massage chair. We love dogs too, so we provide a dog run (there is a pet fee). For our fishermen- there is off street parking for your boats.

Tranquility & Vistas on the Farm in the Guest Barn

When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. While here, you'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow, watch barn kitties play, while gazing across the vast farm vistas.

You can come and enjoy the surrounding areas if you want, but you can also just come and spend the entire time away from the outside world. It is a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to just unwind. Located up on a bluff, between Prairie Du Chien and Ferryville, this cabin gets you about 5 minutes from the river but allows you the serenity of being tucked away in the trees.
