Birken House is located above a home based bakery in the grounds of a 110-year old farmhouse, and is rumoured to be the location of an original stagecoach stop on the Douglas Trail. Bring your water toys for fun on the lake or enjoy a short bike ride or walk into the village on the Valley Trail. The village is only a 5 minute drive away. *May 2026 note: The photos of the bed in the den are no longer accurate. I am awaiting updated photos. The new bed is a comfortable twin-size that converts to a double bed (2 twin mattresses side by side).

There's a separate indoor heated bathroom and shower, plus an outdoor hot water shower and vintage bathtub built for two.
