Lighthouse keepers; Home of the year finalist

Welcome to the lighthouse keepers house! We have been voted as one of Ireland’s top 50 places to stay by the Irish Independent #Fab50 ( number 26 :)) We spent two years renovating this 200 year old building. In May 2020, it featured on RTE Home of the year and became a finalist in the top 7 homes in Ireland. Irish lights built all 76 lighthouses & keepers houses in Ireland, and this is the only lighthouse keepers house in a town in Ireland!

Clonunion House is a delightful 250 year-old farmhouse set on a working family farm in the outskirts of the picturesque village of Adare, County Limerick. The house is set in large tranquil gardens. Three guest rooms are en-suite, spacious and antique furnished. Marina View is a beautiful oasis located on the Shannon in the vibrant village of Killaloe/Ballina. You can relax and read, watch a film, prepare meals, or just enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony. The village is a leisurely ten-minute walk away. There are many cafes, a French patisserie, numerous pubs with trad music and several restaurants along with two hotels. Killaloe also serves as a base for exploring Nenagh, Limerick and Galway.

We are located in a peaceful rural countryside setting just 3 mins (by car) from Newport town, 12 mins from University of Limerick/ Castletroy, 15 mins from Limerick City centre and 40 mins from Shannon Airport. Fully renovated in recent years, the house is bursting with character and charm where relaxation with family and friends is the order of the day.
