Patio São Vicente is a collection of restored artisan cottages surrounding a peaceful courtyard, hidden away in the historical center of the city. The cottages of “Patio São Vicente” have been completely restored respecting the original architecture yet designed with a modern aesthetic by Paratelier architects. Using Portuguese artisans and designers, the interiors are cosy, comfortable and carefully crafted with custom carpentry. The 13th century original wall of Lisbon the “Muralha Fernandina” is integrated into the back wall of each of the living rooms. Patio São Vicente is tucked away in the corner of the Telheiro do Sao Vicente square in a private Patio. Using Portuguese artisans and designers, the interiors are cosy, comfortable and carefully crafted with custom carpentry. The buildings are of historic importance. The 13th century original wall of Lisbon the “Muralha Fernandina” is integrated into the back wall of each of the living rooms. The corner turret is visible from the courtyard and can be accessed by the garden of one the apartments. You can sit in the quiet, shady patio at your own table, the perfect work or rest space after a long day’s sightseeing. The patio is a natural space for groups, friends or extended families to gather and enjoy time together, while still having the privacy of their own houses. “Casinha C" is a small cottage divided over 2 floors, the ground floor with a full open kitchen, dining area, wood panelled living room with sofa-bed and a light filled bathroom. The upstairs bedroom is a peaceful space perfect for a good night sleep, sheltered with the “muralha” and completed with custom storage and television. The quiet, shady patio with your own outdoor table and chairs is the perfect work or rest space after a long day’s sightseeing.You can also choose to join your neighbors at the large communal tables. The patio is a natural space for groups, friends or extended families to gather and enjoy time together, while still having the privacy of their own houses. Victor Lopes The patio is perfectly situated for discovering the city by foot, located in one of the most visited areas of Lisbon. Positioned in front of the majestic tenth century Mosteiro do Sao Vicente de Fora, next to the pantheon, Alfama and the infamous “Feira da Ladra” the twice weekly fair of the thieves makes São Vicente one of the most vibrant and busy meeting places in Lisbon. A 5 minute walk to Graca will also bring you to the two miradouros where you can have the best view of whole of Lisbon. The 28 tram is steps away. Like most old parts of historical cities, access to the "hidden" patio can be difficult for people with mobility issues. Access to the main square is via a steep ramp but the view of the church and river is worth it!

A casa foi remodelada recentemente e ampliada com uma construção moderna e de design desfrutando da vista e da envolvente . Vê-se desde o topo da Serra de Sintra, ao Guincho ao Cabo Espichel. A dois passos dos percursos pedestres da Serra de Sintra e dos seus monumentos e junto de bons restaurantes , de cafés com bom ambiente , a pequena aldeia tem supermercado e farmácia para sua tranquilidade. Os hóspedes têm à sua disposição uma casa com 2 quartos, sala e cozinha, totalmente privativa e acesso a um grande jardim com uma piscina infinita onde podem desfrutar da maravilhosa vista. Moro na propriedade e estou disponível para partilhar histórias e informações sobre a região. Adoro ciclismo e conheço a Serra como a palma da minha mão. Posso partilhar os segredos da serra e aconselhar os melhores restaurantes da região. Malveira da Serra, aldeia pitoresca junto a Cascais e Lisboa (20 min), com percursos pedestres na Serra de Sintra e seus monumentos. A Praia do Guincho e as suas dunas selvagens com a sua beleza única, são um paraíso para o Surf/Kite-surf/Windsurf. Aconselho o uso de carro próprio.

CASTLE, ALFAMA - CASA MENINO DEUS (53816/AL)

In the apartment, you won't hear more than four kinds of sounds: the horns of ships passing along the Tagus; the ringing of tram bells as they cross paths in the next street (among them the legendary 28, running through the whole historic Lisbon circuit). The third sound is of the Lisboners of the air, the blackbirds, hummingbirds, seagulls and other birds that stop by the Tagus estuary. The fourth is the sound of church bells spreading through the neighbourhood, coming from the distance through their window of choice. Nevertheless you're in the very heart of the town. The apartment is located in a small square. It opens up to the facade of the church of Menino Deus (which has no bells!), the only one who survived the earthquake of Lisbon. In the square lies the oldest house in town and one of the alleys giving entrance to the castle of the city. The house is located in the confluence of Alfama, Castelo and Graça, Lisbon's most emblematic districts. The main historical sites of Old Lisbon - besides the Castle, the old cathedral, the convent of St. Vicente, the Pantheon - are all within walking distance. The surrounding area boasts dozens of restaurants, fado houses, trendy cafes, local shops and the best terraces in town. All this within a 10 minute walk downtown. The apartment has 70 m2 and was recently renovated. It is located on the 2nd floor of a building from the late nineteenth century. It accommodates up to 4 people. It has a bedroom with double bed. The windows overlook the rooftops of Alfama. The living room was designed to accommodate two more people, for it is furnished with a sofa bed for two people. It has a third division that serves as dining room or reading room. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom (with shower). Towels and bed linen are included, of course.

The building has two elevators and the apartment has air-conditioning (for cooling and heating). The subway station (Baixa-Chiado) is only 2 min away from the flat!
