In the heart of wild, romantic Perthshire, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery, Garden Cottage is the perfect escape. Relax looking out over the loch, wander the fields spotting the wildlife or take off on foot or bike for a boost of healthy fresh air and a memorable Highland experience. A Highland cottage built in the 1720's, newly refurbished in the spirit of Scottish country living. Tradition, authenticity and fireside comfort complement contemporary furnishings and light airy spaces.

Rock Cottage, Highland Perthshire Rural Retreat

Our much loved holiday home on Loch Tay is set in Scotland's most spectacular scenery, sited on the Heart 200 Road Trip through Perthshire. We are lucky to have a private shore, where you can sit amidst the rocks and trees, make a campfire or paddle in the loch . Rock Cottage's lounge with log burning stove is an ideal place to return to after taking part in outdoor sporting activities. Our grounds offer play, picnic and water areas. It is a great place to read or relax and watch the wildlife.

Milton Cottage in Glen Lyon

At Milton Cottage we aim to offer guests a cosy retreat to our croft where they can come and unwind in Glenlyon, Scotland’s longest and most beautiful glen. For hill walking, Ben Lawers and 12 munros are within a 6 mile radius. If you like fishing, salmon and trout fishing can be arranged. On request, we offer a Scottish breakfast with local jam and fresh bread. For supper we can offer game, fish or vegetarian dishes, using local produce where possible. The cottage has WIFI and and Alexa.

Beautiful period home on loch, wonderful views

Wonderful period home in Perthshire in the Scottish Highlands, in a stunningly special romantic location on Loch Earn. Great for a 1-2 week holiday, or for a short break. Walking, watersports, etc - or just relaxing! Excellent location for exploring - day trips in all directions. Easy to reach - Edinburgh or Glasgow 75 minute drive. Lovely year round – in summer, south facing sun and dining on the decking; in winter, walks and warming by the log fire. Wonderful views always!

The Owl House at Gardeners Cottage (dog friendly)

The Owl House is a cosy retreat, five minutes from historic Fortingall. This former outbuilding has been lovingly renovated and commands beautiful views over the glen. At night, add some logs to the wood-burning stove, sit back, and enjoy listening to the owls hooting. Glen Lyon, Ben Lawers, Schiehallion, Aberfeldy, Drummond Hill and Loch Tay are just a stones throw away. Well-behaved dogs welcome (please note that we do not allow cats). West Cottage is a typical Scottish country cottage among mountains in beautiful Glenlyon. Comfortable and peaceful. Beautiful, interesting interior with thousands of books. Central heating and wood burning stove. Original range in kitchen, two double bedrooms with a double bed each, both with an extra single bed. There's a fully-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge. There's no dishwasher, freezer, or washing machine. Let us know if you want anything washed or frozen.

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.
