Papa Bears Den is the Perfect Location to Visit the Hatfield and McCoy Trails offering access to not only one but two different trail systems (Devil Anse & Rockhouse) within a mile of the property! Devil Anse connects with a Third trial system (Buffalo) offering days of trials with no need to trailer to other locations! Relax on the porch or by the fire pits while cooking on the grills by a scenic creek! While here visit the gravesite or museum of Devil Anse, just a short walking distance away

King bed and hottub, no cleaning fee. Home with updated kitchen complete with dishwasher. Two full bathrooms. Two driveways with room for trailers. The stairs have a steep incline leading to queen room and twin loft. Caution should be taken with small children and those who struggle with stairs. The hot tub is up stairs that are also steep. We are less than one mile from trailhead and 1/2 mile from Sherry Bo’s diner. Two security cameras face the driveways and are the only cameras on site.

The Dollar General grocery store is also located within 1 mile for all of your grocery needs. Come enjoy a quite peaceful setting where the deer run free and the calls of nature are all around you. Those avid hikers we have several acres for you to explore. H&M Ivy Branch about 15 miles away. About 6 miles outlaw trials off Mud River/ Hobet Outlaw trails. We do have trailer parking at the top of the driveway. Kayaking stream access or rentals within close driving distance.

We can leave trail permits and maps in the cabin for you so there's no need to worry about running those down. Our cabins are very well kept and clean.
