The Traditional Bamboo huts are located inside a complex on the hill side and offer ample light and ventilation & open space. Its a couplet of two huts with an attached bath and ample open area. This hut is one of them. There is a fireplace on one side of the hut. A well arranged clearing where 8-10 people can sit and have fun/cook etc. There's a common shack with an open kitchen for cooking/ BBQ/Bonfire. Toilets are outside. There is running tap water and a pond with Lotus and lilies nearby.

Hornbill View Cottages A1 乡村小屋

Contours of the mountains, the edges of the paddy fields; our cottage overlooks the most picturesque site in Kohima. We are situated at the highest point of Kigwema; right above Kisama Heritage Village. The first ray of the sun hits our cottage and reflects on the paddy fields. Our cottage is an immersive deep-forest getaway for urban travellers. Surrounded by 10 wooded acres, you'll find yourself sharing the sunset view with birds in the tree tops, gazing at the starlit skies.

There are three rooms (Hearth of Imphal, Hearth of Imphal Windows & Hearth of Imphal-Attic) [book separately if guests are more then 2]. Guests can use the three common baths with hot water, one kitchen space, one dining space and common area with plenty of books to read. No TV. Wi-Fi only. The lawn with food garden & little pond is open guests. Ask if you want to help in the food garden. If you are sharing a room with a stranger, you might need to make adjustments.

We have two adjoining rooms with an attached dining area and a nice big terrace. You'll get a gorgeous view of the Dzouku valley and Japfü peak, Nagaland's second highest peak. On Sundays the hills come alive with music from churches across Kohima. It's a real treat for tourists. (so they tell me) it's a short steep downhill walk to my place but it's totally worth it! if you have trouble walking please let us know and we'll arrange a car.

You will enjoy the view of a beautifully spread mountains and cool mountain breeze.
