Firefly Cabin, A Forested Retreat

Firefly cabin, tucked deep in the woods, is the perfect place to escape. The cabin offers a peaceful retreat where you can temporarily separate from technology and connect with one another and the surrounding nature. Inside you will find comfortable, spacious rooms for both small and large gatherings. Outside, relax on the wrap around deck, sit around the fire pit, or hike our trails throughout the 300 acre property. The Firefly Cabin is one of several accommodations at Carpenter Inn.

Enjoy the gorgeous view of the Ohio River and surrounding hills, from riverfront property. The 1 bedroom cabin sleeps four and is the perfect place to rejuvenate or be the base in between all the activities in the area. Forked Run State Park is across the road and the Ohio river access ramp is 1/4 mi away. The park offers a lake for kayaking, fishing, and a nice sandy beach for swimming. An 18 hole disc golf course is available, along with many hiking trails, and archery targets.

Sweet Peace Forest

Sweet Peace Forest is a secluded nature retreat located in Southeast Ohio. It is 30 minutes from Athens, and 20 minutes from Pomeroy (and Fur Peace Ranch). It exudes warmth and nature from the 30 acre forest where it sits, to the ponds, to the carefully crafted and recently remodeled home. No matter which way you look, there's something pleasing to the eye and soothing to the soul. Sweet Peace Forest is wide open with plenty of windows to capture nature from every angle.
