Our goal was to create a space for the entire family. The History of our Cabin started as Hoss's Country Store where we provided a general store for our community and the guests visiting our beautiful area next to the National Forest. We have always felt that taking care of our family and friends were the top priority. Less than .25 miles down the road you will find an access point to enjoy the peaceful Ouachita river or drive a short 30 minutes to Wolf Pen Gap to ride ATVs or find Irons Fork Lake 6 miles away to take in nature and fish.

Private, heavily treed, and peaceful, you will find this cabin to be a great place to get away and enjoy natural beauty in any season. To the town of Mena, AR, it is about a 15 minute drive. The Cottage at Acorn is located in the Heart of the Ouachita Mountains and only 4 miles to Mena. The Cottage is a double cylinder block mother-in-law suite, with concrete floors, pine ceilings and vintage decorations. Walking distance from a playground, walking track, and Veterans Memorial Park. Covered concrete parking (with a basketball goal) and an outdoor covered patio. There are 2 entrances, please use The Veterans Memorial Park entrance on Highway 71.

Downstairs you’ll find a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed, twin bed & trundle, & a washer/dryer. Fully equipped kitchen. Feeling adventurous? Hike down the private trail to the creek.

The deck has seating to enjoy the peace and quiet while watching for wildlife. This property is a perfect getaway place!

Fishing/swimming/kayaking (kayaks provided)! Ride in to Wolf Pen Gap west trail head is 5-10 minutes away. It is located on paved roads and is about 4 miles from the city of Mena.
