Spencer House Bed & Breakfast - Mary's Room

Mary’s Room is named for Mary Dupuy, the wife of William Spencer, who the home is named for. While it’s not known if she kept a separate bedroom of her own, this room—with its hand-carved 1880s antique queen bed—would have been both inviting and comfortable. The room features two floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with light. Two closets have been thoughtfully converted into a private, in-room bathroom, providing modern comfort while preserving the historic character of the house.

Built in 1855 this historic home housed 6 term Congress man Arthur Bates who was responsible for the development of Pearl Harbor. It has all original woodwork and floors and has been brought back to life. It has a 53 foot front porch surrounded by beautiful trees. It has a player piano that can play dozens of songs. Four original fireplaces make the rooms cozy. Over 3500 square feet inside and located across the street from Allegheny college and 2 blocks from Meadville Medical Center.

This private upstairs one bedroom apartment with queen size bed in an older building is 600 square feet of living space. The futon in the living room makes up into a full size bed. It is in a quite north end of Meadville neighborhood has a separate entrance and separate one car garage parking space. My house is off of Interstate Hwy 79 between Interstates 90 and 80, 40 minutes south of Erie, PA and 90 minutes north of Pittsburgh. It is 4 blocks downhill from Allegheny College.
