Enjoy our holiday cottage on the edge of the Lake District. Many lakes, fells and beaches are easily drivable. Birkrigg common isn’t far and gives lovely views. The pub’s a 5-minute walk away and serves food most evenings There are buses to both Barrow and Ulverston and beyond at the end of the road. Ulverston is famous for its many festivals which attract lots of tourists. Barrow is only a 10-minute drive away for shops or if you want to go a little further Walney nature reserves are lovely.

Aqua park and Nature reserve is also close by. We are also a good base for exploring the lake district with Coniston only being a 35min drive. Scafell Pike is close by too with a 45min drive. Nestled in the hills 5 minutes outside Kendal, the hut sits in its own private meadow, enjoying far reaching views of the fells. Choose to hunker down in the hut with a book, play board games and unplug from the rest of the world or use it as a base to explore Kendal and the beautiful Lake District National Park. Step inside and you'll find a snug and cosy retreat with King sized bed, log burner and underfloor heating. Outside, enjoy the dark skies from the patio and the private fire pit area.

The Black Dog cottage is a charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom property located in a quiet rural setting two doors down from the Black Dog Inn, outside the town of Dalton in Furness in the Cumbrian countryside. In 2021 the cottage was renovated creating open plan living on the ground floor, a double and single bedroom on the first with family bathroom and a master suite on the second, complete with ensuite. Off road parking is available at the front of the cottage and wifi available throughout.
