Iconic 17th Century Thatched Cottage

Enjoy the beautiful garden in the summer sunshine or hunker down next to the fire in the winter, Hoo Cottage has it all! It is one of the few thatched Cotswold Stone properties, tucked away in the idyllic village of Chipping Campden. We have done our best to bringing out the distinctive character of this historic property, while furnishing it in a luxurious rustic style. The history of the cottage is still up to debate. However, we have found evidence of it playing a role as the village bakery.

Built and crafted by myself and my husband we wanted to build something that would hug you the minute you walked in. We have created a purpose built one-bedroom annexe with your own front door and designated parking. Finished to a very high specification for the perfect relaxing holiday. A variety of teas/coffees/milk in the fridge, cereals and instant porridge also available. Close to the village, a brisk 10 minute walk and ample walking routes right from the front door.

In the heart of the Cotswolds, Shipton-U-Wychwood offers a peaceful retreat with a choice of 3 pubs to walk to. Recently upgraded with a new boiler, our cottage features a cozy log fire, a beautiful four-poster bed, and a comfortable twin en suite. The village provides a perfect base for exploration, with pretty villages, the grandeur of Blenheim Palace, Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm Shop, a Wildlife Park and easy access to all that historic Oxford has to offer.

The Apple Store at Kilkenny

A spacious one bedroom annexe with its own kitchen and shower room. Accessed via its own door (mind your head!) a small entrance hall leads into a kitchen area, a shower room and on into a large south facing bedroom with high ceilings and large windows overlooking the front lawn of the main house. Relax on the comfy sofa or enjoy your meals at the dining table. Fully equipped for short or longer stays. A 20 minute walk across the fields to The Farmer's Dog pub.
