The Getaway

This 1950 3 bedroom 2 bath island house was remodeled with a Mid Century vibe. Some of the original features have been kept for authenticity. "The Getaway" feels like you are stepping back in time. It is a wonderful place to ride bikes and you can walk across the street to launch our 2 kayaks. I love our floor plan and the fact that each of the three bedrooms are large enough for a private retreat while the open kitchen/living area is so comfortable for the whole group to be together.

It comes with full use of bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and several beach chairs that you can take to the beach. When you come back all sandy just use the downstairs hot/cold shower to rinse off and you are good to go! There are plenty of outdoor seating so you can relax away from the sun or on the deck to take in the sunshine, either way you are always covered.

On high ground this cozy rustic Fish Camp is perfect for relaxing. At the end of the road with water access while also in the woods, your front porch overlooks a picturesque bayou which feeds into Fowl River. If you like peace and quiet you will not want to leave this little hideaway for up to two people. While not off the grid, wifi is available but limited.
