The Guest House

The Guest House is a primitive cottage and resides on 400 acres outside of Barnesville, Georgia. Bunn Ranch is a working cattle and sheep farm. This space is a two story primitive cottage with primitive artwork and a claw foot tub. Sit in your choice of antique rockers that have been collected over the years. The floors and stairs were salvaged from an old home that was here on the farm. Surrounded by rolling hills and close to town, come enjoy some time for YOU! We will consider STR students.

This one bedroom cabin features all the restful amenities of home, with an authentic rustic feel. The house features a studio set-up, with a comfortable queen bed, efficiency kitchen including a microwave and refrigerator. The home also has a full bathroom, features heat and air, and comes with towels and linens. No TV or Wi-Fi. *Please note this is cabin #5 at Ocmulgee River Retreat* Additionally, Ocmulgee River Retreat operates on well water and we do not recommend drinking from the tap.

Welcome to our beautiful timber frame treehouse! Hand-built by local carpenter David Green, this work of art overlooks the Ocmulgee River. Our two-story dwelling has two porches, a lofted bedroom (full bed), a living area (window seat/bar/twin bed) and kitchen area (foot-powered cast iron sink, outdoor camp stove, prep area, dishes, cookware, and more). As it sits currently (Spring 2026) there is not an indoor restroom. We do have a camping style toilet (Luggable Loo) available.
