Backup power is in place so you won’t be affected by power outages. The surroundings offer mountain views and a farm-like feel, while still steps away from cafes and shops. Indulge indoors with our luxury down bedding and cosy fireplace or enjoy the summer outside in our lavish garden, patio and swimming pool.

Die Blouhuis Farmhouse Retreat with a hot tub

My place is close to the breathtaking De Hoop Nature Reserve's white beaches, travelers hotspot Malagas with the pont, bush pub and boathouse restaurant. It's the perfect location to stay for a week and enjoy everything the area of Swellendam & Bredasdorp has on offer. You’ll love Die Blouhuis because of the uniqueness of staying in a old-styled farm house. It is remote and therefor very peaceful, private and safe - perfect retreat for couples, solo adventurers and families, especially kids.

Bontebok House - Drie Kuilen

Bontebok house is a modern off-grid (only solar power) cottage in a remote valley of our reserve. Enjoy the quietness and wildlife on your doorstep! It has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, has a fridge, an oven and a gas stove. There's also a fireplace, braai on the veranda and wood fired hot tub. This house does not have WiFi or cell reception. 4km from the house lies our yard with free WiFi access. Firewood is available at our shop for R50/crate.
