1880s Miner’s Cottage in Moonta Mines – Heritage

Step back in time at this 1880s miner’s cottage in historic Moonta Mines. Built over 140 years ago and extended in the early 1900s by the man who built many Yorke Peninsula roads, it still features the dining room, kitchen and bathroom he added. Lovingly owned for 12+ years and renovated twice, the cottage blends original stone walls and low doorways with modern comforts, a cozy wood fire, a well-equipped indoor & outdoor kitchen, and a big backyard perfect for BBQs under the dark night stars.

Moontana

Maldon - perfectly located beach town cottage

Maldon is one of Wallaroo's old lime stone & granite cottages. A privately owned cottage so centerally located you can leave your car and walk to almost everything & has just undergone a total revitalization right through out in refeashing and family friendly decor. The back yard bosts has an awesome Alfrasco BBQ area nestled amongst the old stone fence and paved with old red bricks where you can comfortably seat 10 secluded in the large fully lawned surrounds. Many extras at no extra cost.

A quaint and crooked Cornish cottage

This is a cottage we bought in October 2020. We had many holidays cancelled through COVID and decided instead to explore our own backyard. We arrived in Moonta, fell instantly in love with its history and beautiful beaches and on spec bought this little cottage with our hearts instead of our heads! We loved that it was situated within an old cornish mining village and that the beach was just 5 minutes drive away. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, TOWELS AND BATH MATS, THANK YOU.

Continental breakfast on request. Uninterrupted sea views from kitchen, dining and lounge area. Accomodation consists of lounge, dining/family area plus kitchen. Master bedroom, one queen bed, shower, separate toilet and powder room. Happy to have a discussion with regard to bringing your pet. Three minute walk to south beach, jetty, local store and Tavern. Room for boat outside. 9 hole Greg Norman designed Golf Course close by. Owners live upstairs. Shared laundry. Dog on site.

The 1862 waterfront Heritage listed Wallaroo Customs House is now available for you to experience, recently renovated and restored. Spacious living areas inside and out providing: three comfortable queen bedrooms, with ocean views, a stylish new kitchen with ocean views, and two beautiful heritage styled bathrooms. The Beach Shack is nestled halfway down Otago Rd, and your veranda opens straight out onto the sand! This original weatherboard beach shack will remind you of your childhood holidays, and has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday. We want our place to be somewhere you can relax and switch off - to help with this there is no tv at the shack. Have a great stay!
