The Nissen is a spacious, light filled two bedroom holiday house overlooking the historic town of Castlemaine, aptly named for its resemblance to a World War II Nissen Hut. Wonderfully private and secluded considering its convenient central location, and featuring all modern appliances. Centrally located near the station, but hidden behind a secluded garden, Little Wonky is a lovingly maintained miner's cottage, and the perfect place to slow down and unwind. The original 1880's cottage is carefully decorated with Asian collectibles, and transports you to another era. The addition of a bright studio, set-up in a Japanese style, gives you the best of the modern world, with a wheelchair accessible bathroom. It is unpretentious, yet full of loveliness and good vibes. No TV!!!

This is a heritage listed property has been lovingly restored with beautiful vistas inside and out. Enjoy toasty warmth in winter with open fire and hydronic heating in Winter and a very cool converted cellar in Summer inside. The beautiful views from the deck are perfect for a bbq or enjoying the spa.

The property consists of a main cottage & two beautiful sandstone cottages "North" & "South". These two can be let out separately or together. Both cottages have super comfy king size beds & each is unique in character.
