You'll find a fully renovated interior behind its seasoned 120-year-old brick facade. The home offers fast wireless Internet access, comfortable furniture, washer/dryer onsite, central air and heat, a wide-ranging library of books to borrow (no TV, but you won't miss it!), eclectic antiques throughout, well-equipped cook's kitchen, spacious back patio and garden, hotel-style shower and steam sauna, hardwood floors and two carpeted bedrooms (second one for guest storage only). The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed.
A perfectly located urban gem that you'll want to return to each time you visit Washington, D.C.! Within blocks of the Washington Convention Center, Dupont Circle, Chinatown and Metro Center office area. Only a few miles from the National Mall and Smithsonian museums, the White House, Capitol Hill and Georgetown.
Several forms of public transportation and taxis are available near this home. The Shaw/Howard U and Mount Vernon Square/7th Street/Convention Center Metro stops are both about seven blocks away. Chinatown, Dupont Circle and Metro Center Metro stops are about 15 minutes' walk. Street parking nearby is very limited but available.
Whole Foods Market with its gorgeous deli, produce, meat and bakery goods is located just four blocks down the street. Plus, a huge, new Giant grocery store is even closer - the largest one in all of DC!
