Close by is Muriwai Beach with its gannet colony and surfing, also the magnificent Kaipara Harbour, Woodhill and Riverhead forests. Ideally situated for those travelling via the scenic Kaipara Coast and 40-60 min to AKL airport.

The Shed offers peaceful rural and water views plus the occasional visit from wild deer and peacock, or grunt from the roar (April/May). It is a restful stop on your travels, or an escape from the hustle bustle of life. Stand alone with a garage between it and the main house. Come and stay in our stylish 1950s bach with one of the best views in Piha. Set back from the road, the house feels wonderfully isolated as it sits level with the tree-tops. The amazing view from the deck looks down on South Piha and up the coast to the headland. To the right you can see up the distant valley of native forest. There's two sunny living areas, a simple kitchen, shower and downstairs there's two bedrooms.

A tiny isolated hut amidst Kauri and Rimu trees to escape the world, self check in. Outdoor Fire, long drop, outdoor hot shower/bath. Surrounded by Tuis and Wood pigeons the hut is close to Piha and Karekare…or simply stay and enjoy nature. Beaches are 10 minutes away by car. Grocery shopping and gassing up recommended beforehand. Misty Mountain Hut supports local Piha staff by paying $40/hr.
