Horsebox & Sauna River Beach Glendalough Ireland

An Capall (meaning Horse in Irish language) is a beautifully converted Horse Lorry currently out to grass overlooking a meandering river, nestled near Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains. Our Wooden Bedford Horse Lorry has been lovingly converted to house a King Size bed deck plus single bunk. Guests have private access to our river beach, firepit & BBQ. In addition you can book a private Finnish Sauna & River Plunge experience in our River Hot Box, converted horse box (at an extra charge).

Riverside Cottage

Find your home away from home in our quaint cottage nestled between the River Barrow and The Grand Canal. Take a stroll or cycle along the famous 46km stretch of The Barrow Blueway or cast your fishing rod into the world of coarse fishing on the Grand Canal. Why not take a walk into town across the Aqueduct and visit some of our favourites such as Mooneys & Brennans or snuggle up to a log burning stove. The local Kids playground is a 5 minute stroll away should the kids need some play time.

An extension offers an additional boot room/bathroom and paved courtyard area. The grounds are comprised of upper and lower lawns set on half an acre. A country pub is within walking distance.

A vintage horse trailor restored into a modern day Tinyhouse with en-suite bathroom & kitchenette complete with Microwave, Kettle, charcoal bbq outside with views across the countryside. Located on a quiet country road with a local pub 6 minutes walk away serving food. Local village 5 minutes drive. 10 minutes drive from Trim castle & many more other heritage sites nearby. Car needed.
