The Architect's Retreat by Oregon Coast Modern

Originally designed by renowned Portland, OR architect Marvin Witt for his family, this towering 3 story "tree house" has been lovingly updated and restored. It features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and an open concept living room and kitchen with fireplace on the top floor. The house also features 3 private decks. It's a short walk to the beach and close to town and hiking trails. Per Airbnb policy please note we have exterior cameras for security in the driveway, front walkway and east side siding.

Sea Forest Retreat - Little coastal house

Welcome to our clean, cozy Sea Forest Retreat, constructed in 2018. It is a studio space ideal and most comfortable for 2 but can sleep up to 4 people. Large windows and high vaulted ceilings make this small but modern house feel big. Enjoy the tranquility with nice outdoor seating areas nestled among greenery in a residential neighborhood. Manzanita and the beach are 1.5 miles and Nehalem 2 miles away. Dogs (2 dogs maximum) are welcome for a $45 fee. We have a small desk for remote work.

This house is perfectly perched on a hill, granting privacy and ocean view from almost every window. Lots of outdoor spots to relax in the sun. Hot tub, fire pit, lower and upper level decks for outside dinning and bbq. Fun bar swings. Enjoy the well appointed kitchen, chill in the living room with fireplace and view. Two desks with views and wifi. 65" roku tv in downstairs family room with pull out couch. Fenced and gated. Well above tsunami risk. 4 paved parking spots.

300 feet above the ocean on sacred Neahkahnie Mountain, 30 feet above the ground. Built by hand with love in 1985. Look out thru giant Sitka spruce and Douglas fir, south & west to the ocean. Look up from the sleeping loft through a huge skylight to the night stars and moon. Leave urban culture behind. Retreat into a world where the rest of nature speaks loudly. Neahkahnie means "place of the spirits." All are welcome to find true peace & magic here.

Yet only minutes away from Manzanita and the beach.

Also Short sands is just 7 minutes away.
