Crabtree Falls and Humpback Rock for hiking. In Nelson Co., the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyland Drive began. Nearby is UVa's Rotunda, Monticello, Appomattox, DC, Schuyler (the Waltons). Nelson hosts peach and apple festivals each year. The beautiful foliage to be seen in the fall and winter snowy mountains.

Guests have access to the heated outdoor pool (open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day), as well as access to golf and other Wintergreen recreational amenities. In addition, Nelson 151's Brew Trail is just a 10 minute drive down the mountain, featuring award-winning wineries, breweries and cideries
